Edward Craig Gerhard, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at his home.  He was 83.

He was the husband of the late Cynthia Ann (Houser) Gerhard who passed away in 1988.

Born in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of the late Russell E. Gerhard and the late Betty (Anderson) Chitwood.

Following his graduation from high school, Mr. Gerhard attained his Bachelor's Degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.

He was a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant.

Mr. Gerhard was employed as a software developer for FMC, Inc., Colmar, PA, for over 10 years until retiring in 1995.

In his free time, he especially enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by a son, Andrew C. Gerhard and his wife Heidi, of Hockessin, DE; and a granddaughter, Layna Gerhard.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Russell Gerhard.

His Funeral Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
