Edward E. Cox 84, of Telford, PA, passed away on June 26, 2026, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Woodbine, NJ, he was the son of the late James N. Cox, Sr., and Edna D. Cox (nee D’Orazio).
A resident of Salford Township for 40 years, he was an active member of the Souderton-Harleysville Game Fish and Forestry Association. Edward was proud U.S. Navy Veteran, and he also served as a police officer for the City of Philadelphia for a few years after his discharge from the military.
During his years of employment, he worked as a carpenter and project manager for Nason & Cullen Contractors. In later years during retirement, he enjoyed working as a locksmith and shared his expertise with his family and friends.
During his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, travelling, or simply mowing the lawn. During his life, Edward attended and served various church congregations in the area; his most recent church home was Bible Baptist Church in Sellersville, PA.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the late Mary “Marie” L. Cox (nee Leonardo), and by his brother, the late Robert B. Cox. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fetzer-Cox, his son Eric E. Cox of Schwenksville, his daughter Tracy A. Fulton and her husband Paul of Lansdale, his brother James N. Cox, Jr. and his wife Doris Jean of Donnisville, NJ, his sister Sharon Pollock of Davidson, NC, and his sister Debra Robinson-Berry and her husband Paul of Eagleville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 E. Arcadia Drive, Limerick, PA 19468. Family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11:00 AM prior to the service. Graveside Services will be held in adjacent cemetery.
