Edna Joyce Ott, of Franconia Twp. and formerly of Dublin, PA, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Franconia Twp. She was 85.
She was the loving wife of Robert Ott. The couple had celebrated their 66 th Wedding Anniversary on July 14, 2022.
Born in Doylestown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester P. and Edna K. (Strawn) Bouc. She was a 1956 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.
Mrs. Ott was employed as an Office Manager for Dr. Lomax General Practice, Dublin, from 1982 until retiring in 2000. Previously, she worked as a customer service representative for the former Dudley Sports Co., Dublin, from 1980 to 1982. From 1970 to 1980, she was employed by the former Richard Fretz Realtor, Bedminster, PA.
She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Dublin, where she served on the Church Consistory.
Mrs. Ott was an active community volunteer, having helped with various events of the Dublin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary over the years. She also volunteered with the Spruance Library at the Mercer Museum, Doylestown, PA, and, along with her husband, with the Pennridge Meals on Wheels. She also served as a cuddler at the Grand View Hospital Day Care in Sellersville, PA.
In addition to reading, she enjoyed hand sewing, knitting, studying genealogy as well as camping and going on bus trips.
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Robert S. Ott and his wife Sue E., of Bedminster Twp., PA, Michael Jon Ott and his wife Sheri, of Ennis, MT, and James Gregg Ott and his wife Lauren, of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren, Rachel Mackey, Gwenn Oakes and her husband Brian, Katlyn Ott, Chase Ott and Tucker Ott; four great-grandchildren, Bella, Sam, Colin and Auden; a brother, Neil R. Bouc and his wife Carol, of Upper Saucon Twp., PA; and a sister, Sharon Killough and her husband Douglas M., of Upper Frederick Twp., PA. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dani Rae Ott, in February 2004.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 141 S. Main Street, Dublin, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Union Cemetery, Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 141 S. Main Street, Dublin, PA 18917, or to the Dublin Fire Company, 194 N. Main Street, Box 283, Dublin, PA 18917.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
