Edith Kallensee, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA.  She was 94.

She was the wife of 67 years of the late George Kallensee until his passing on February 4, 2012.

Born in Perkasie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Isodore Helen (Soliday) Mitman.  She was a 1942 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie.

Mrs. Kallensee was employed as a seamstress for the former Royal Pants Factory, Perkasie, for over 43 years until its closing.  Previously, she worked at Perkasie Cigar factory.

She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Perkasie.

Mrs. Kallensee was especially fond of spending time at their mountain home at Lake Wallenpaupack.  In addition to working outdoors and sunbathing in her pool, she loved her dogs.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Georgia D. Slater, of Perkasie; two grandchildren, Matthew W. Slater and his wife Michelle, of Schwenksville, PA, and Rebecca L. Malinsky and her husband Benjamin, of Hoboken, NJ; and four great-grandchildren, Rachel and Sarah Slater, and Liam and Molly Malinsky.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William J. Slater, Jr., a brother, Clifford Mitman, and a sister, Freda McConnell.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, 110 North Sixth Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 11:00 Am to 12:00 PM.                     .
