Dorothy W. Gahman, of Bedminster Twp., PA, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Twp., PA. She was 92.

She was the loving wife of nearly 66 years of the late William Emerson Gahman until his passing on March 29, 2019.

Born in Bedminster Twp., she was the daughter of the late Elmer D. and Cora (Wismer) Bartholomew. She attended the Ellis College Boarding School, Philadelphia, PA, from 6 ^th through 10 ^th grade and then attended the Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie, PA, during her junior and senior years before graduating there in 1950.

A homemaker, Mrs. Gahman worked as a bookkeeper for Harold Bishop Farm Machinery, Dublin, PA, during her early years. Later, she also worked for the Pennridge School District in the cafeteria at the Bedminster Elementary School, Perkasie, for a number of years.

She was a long-time, active member of Deep Run Mennonite Church West, Perkasie, where she served as a Deaconess, taught the five-year-old Sunday school class, sang in the church choir and volunteered with the youth program. She also enjoyed attending Bible study classes at the church.

An avid reader and gardener, Mrs. Gahman loved to sew especially children's clothing. She was a cooking enthusiast and was known for her pie-baking talents. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Thomas L. Gahman and his wife Beatrice, of Riegelsville, PA, R. Scott Gahman and his wife Christine, of Bethlehem, PA, and Debora Gahman, of Bedminster Twp.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Gahman, on December 2, 2019, and a brother, Robert E. Bartholomew.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Deep Run Mennonite Church West, 1008 Deep Run Road, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Deep Run Mennonite Church West Cemetery, Perkasie.
