Doris L. Weikel, of Perkasie and formerly of Prospectville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA.  She was 96.

She was the loving wife of 74 years of the late H. Calvin Weikel until his passing on November 28, 2022.

Born in Abington, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Rambaud) Lamont.  She was a 1945 graduate of Olney High School, Philadelphia, PA.

A homemaker, Mrs. Weikel had also been employed as a teacher's assistant for the Bucks County Intermediate Unit.  She also had worked in the office at her son-in-law and daughter's business, The Eye Store, in Dresher, PA, for a number of years.

She was a member of Calvary Church, Souderton, PA, where she volunteered with the Church Kitchen Committee.

Mrs. Weikel was a long-time member of the Bucks County Farm Bureau, having served as Chairwoman of the Women's Committee for many years.  A talented cook, she loved to sing.  Her greatest joy was in spending time with her family and reading to her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Kathleen G. Moyer and her husband Stephen E., of Perkasie, PA, A. Bruce Weikel and his wife Gretchen G., also of Perkasie, and Judith E. Kehr and her husband Jeffrey L., of Souderton, PA; four grandchildren, Rebecca Wagner and her husband Brian, David Weikel and his wife Amy, Kathryn McKinley and her husband Christopher, and James Kehr and his wife Colleen; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Latham and her husband Harry, of Lansdale, PA.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services to be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Calvary Church Souderton, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA.  The family will greet friends following the service.  Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
