Doris M. Barsby, formerly of Hilltown, PA, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Lansdale, PA.  She was 96.

She was the loving wife of the late Herbert J. Barsby, Jr., until his passing on May 16, 2004.

Born in Conshohocken, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Gertrude (Lacy) Woodring.  She was a 1946 graduate of Upper Merion High School, King of Prussia, PA.

A homemaker, Mrs. Barsby worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Herb's Auto Body.  She also was employed for a number of years at a parts factory in Sumneytown, PA.

She volunteered for many years with the Silverdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Silverdale, PA.  In addition to her love for crocheting and knitting, she enjoyed gardening, reading and solving crossword puzzles during her free time.

She is survived by two sons; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Barsby, on September 7, 2005.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Frieden's Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, PA.
