Denise J. Spier, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at her home in Ottsville, PA.  She was 67.

Born in West Rockhill Twp., PA, she was the daughter of Leroy Herman and Shirley Constance (Schnable) Gladfelter, of Hilltown Twp., PA.

A 1974 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA, she attained her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development from Bucks County Community College, Newtown, PA.

Denise worked in child care at the Quakertown Branch of the YMCA, Quakertown, PA, during the 1980's and 1990's.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, PA.

An avid cook and cat lover, she enjoyed needlepoint, music and playing the piano.

Surviving with her parents are a son, James Leroy Spier and his companion Carrie, of Hellertown, PA; three grandchildren, Dominic James Spier, Ava Spier and Jesse James Spier; a brother, Mark Leroy Gladfelter, of Ellenwood, GA; two sisters, Karen Joy Spaeth and her husband Terry, and Michelle Willihnganz and her husband Kevin, all of Rochester, MN; and her former husband and friend, James Spier.

Her Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
