Deborah Ann
Turnipseed
May 3, 1959 – January 3, 2025
Deborah Ann Vollmer Turnipseed, born on May 3, 1959, in Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved daughter of Robert and Claire Vollmer. Deborah was a devoted mother to her two children, Luke Turnipseed and Olivia Bayley, and a cherished grandmother to Emma Turnipseed, Samuel Turnipseed, Alice Bayley, Edward Turnipseed, and Violet Bayley. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Dan Vollmer, Diane Manning, Donna Vollmer-Bosley, and Darla Vollmer. Known for her deep faith and love for God, Deborah lived a life marked by generosity and service to others. Her kind spirit and willingness to lend a listening ear brought comfort to many. She had a vibrant personality that shone through her artistic talents, adding color and flair to the lives of those around her. Whether through her creative works or her expert renditions of Billy Joel's music,
Deborah's presence was a source of joy and laughter. Deborah's favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandkids. When she was not spending time with her family she loved to express her artistic abilities through drawing, painting, and zentangle. She regularly attended events with friends for zentangling and even taught classes on the art form as it was a great passion of hers. Deborah loved to travel and frequently visited beaches with friends and family. Her kind and generous heart also lead her to travel to India and Haiti to help those affected by tragedy and poverty while spreading the good news of her Savior Jesus. Deborah's legacy is one of love, faith, service, and creativity. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her life serve as a reminder of the beauty found in selflessness and the power of bringing light into the world.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 11th at Calvary Church of Souderton which will be open to the public.
