Deborah Ann
Hilburn
September 14, 1955 – October 24, 2024
Deborah Ann (nee Henkensiefken) Hilburn, born September 14, 1955, passed away on October 24, 2024. She was beloved by her husband John with whom she had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. She is deeply missed by her three children and their spouses Nichole and her husband Brett, John and his wife Lauren, and Danielle. She treasured her four grandchildren, Jackson, Leo, Loralie, and Remy. Those close to her always appreciated her warm and loving spirit, her creativity, her love of animals, and her deep spirituality.
As a young person in the 1960s, Debbie loved the notion of a peaceful, balanced world. John and Debbie met as teenagers, started dating, and got married. After becoming a parent, she studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and was overjoyed to learn about the hope for everlasting life in a paradise. She went on to spend a lifetime sharing this hope with others, engaging in her personal ministry to the best of her ability in each stage of life. Her zeal for the truth and her smile were loved by many.
Debbie was always learning about plants to grow and new recipes to try in her kitchen; cooking and baking for others especially brought her joy. She also loved dogs and throughout life embraced many hard-to-adopt animals, caring for them with the utmost empathy. She sewed and made quilts for years, and many of her pieces became clothes for her children or gifts for others. Even as health issues prevented her from pursuing her hobbies in the way she once loved, her mind was ever racing with new inspiration even as her hands slowed.
Debbie loved her family dearly and always worked hard to build a happy home. When a friend was in need or facing trouble, Debbie was always there to help.
Her faith in the resurrection was strong, but until that time, she will be missed by so many who loved her dearly.
A memorial will be held on November 9 at 1pm at the Quakertown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1000 Doylestown Pike, Quakertown, PA.
