Obituary

David E. Sensinger, of Lansdale, PA, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Jefferson Abington Hospital, Abington, PA.  He was 79.

He was the loving husband of Veronica A. (Skrzat) Sensinger.  The couple would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on April 25, 2025.

Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Earl L. Sensinger, and the late Audrey (Keeler) Sensinger Hollenbach and her husband the late Russell Hollenbach.  He was a 1963 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA, where he played football and basketball.

Mr. Sensinger was a proud U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served honorably as an infantryman including a two-year tour in Vietnam during his enlistment.

He was employed by the former North Wales Post Office for 42 years until retiring as the Gwynedd Post Office Station Master in 2010.

A member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Wales, PA, Mr. Sensinger was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Perkasie, PA, where he served as a Church Usher.

He was active with the Highland Park Campmeeting Association, Sellersville, PA, where he volunteered as the snack stand manager for 35 years and served as the Head Usher. A member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 468, Sellersville, he was a long-time Cubmaster of the former Cub Scout Pack No. 654, North Wales, PA.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Mark Sensinger and his wife Charlotte, of Andover, MA, and Holly Fite, of Strasburg, PA; three grandchildren, Mercedes Sensinger, Lucas Fite and Samantha Fite; a sister, Barbara E. Pritchard, of Sellersville, PA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 211 South Main Street, North Wales, PA 19454, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.  Interment will follow in South Perkasie Evangelical Cemetery, Perkasie, PA.  Following the Interment, everyone is invited to join the family for a luncheon and a time of fellowship at Highland Park, 415 Highland Park Road, Sellersville, PA  18960.
