Renner
July 25, 1949 – April 8, 2025
David L. Renner, of Franconia Twp. and formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, PA. He was 75.
He was the loving husband of Robin J. (Meikrantz) Renner. The couple had celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary on January 27, 2025.
Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Clifford H. and Anna M. (Hangey) Renner. He was a 1967 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.
David was a proud U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a machinist crafting helicopter parts until his honorable discharge in 1972 following three years of service including one year stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
He was employed by the Merck, Sharp & Dohme Company, West Point, PA, for over 41 years until retiring in 2013
David was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville, PA.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a former member of the Harleysville Gun Club. He especially enjoyed golfing, skiing and operating remote-controlled drones. He was particularly fond of vacationing on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. David will be remembered for his love for a good joke but mostly for his love for his family and their gatherings and picnics.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Robert D. Renner, of Franconia Twp., PA, and Matthew D. Renner and his wife Katelyn, of Abington, PA; three grandchildren, Cameran, Landon and Noah Renner; and a sister, Patti A. Jones, of Perkasie, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Renner, in 2021.
His Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
