David P. Prekup, 68, of Franconia Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his residence.

Born in McKeesport, PA, he was a son of Catherine W. (Chasko) Prekup of Bethel Park, PA, and the late Donald G. Prekup.

A master tradesman and master carpenter, he was self-employed doing custom carpentry and home remodeling for 45 years.

David loved to work, build things, go fishing, camping, spend time outdoors, and smoke good food for family and friends.  He was very proud of his family, and loved spending time together with them.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his partner of 12 years, Sandra Lawell of Franconia Twp., two sons:  Mark Prekup and his fiancée Samantha Ridley of Pennsburg, Steven Prekup of Perkasie, three grandchildren:  Charisma, Kelsey, and Hannah, a great grandson, Greyson, a sister, Donna Prekup of Manhall, PA, two brothers: Richard Prekup and his wife Marsha of Austin, TX, and Daniel Prekup and his wife Marilyn of North Carolina, his first wife, Cheryl Wojciechowski of Perkasie, and his grand dog, Duke.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 10 AM in Zion Mennonite Church, 149 Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964.  Interment will follow in Zion Memorial Gardens, Telford, PA.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 1:00-5:00 PM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford, PA 18969.
