Obituary

Daniel "Mark" Menszak, of Perkasie and formerly of Mertztown, PA, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS, on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was 63.

He was the loving husband of Dawn (Hilpl) Menszak.  The couple would have celebrated their 37 th Wedding Anniversary on October 5, 2022.

Born in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Frances (Jajczyk) Menszak.  He was a 1977 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

Mark began his professional career with Scott Specialty Gases, Plumsteadville, PA, where he met his wife.  He worked there as a Delivery Specialist and in Warehouse Logistics from 1982 to 1985.  From 1991-2010, he was employed by Sanofi-Aventis, Bridgewater, NJ, as a Chemical Material Manager.  Then, he worked as a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor for Air Gas USA, Plumsteadville, from 2011 until retiring in April 2021.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kellers Church, PA, where he volunteered at the church dinners.

Mark served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for a number of years.  He was active with various other activities with his children, including soap box derby and watching them play soccer.  He also volunteered as an assistant basketball coach as well as an assistant t-ball coach.

A Subaru enthusiast and car racing fan, he loved NASCAR, dirt racing, attending the Philadelphia Car Show and reading his racing paper.  He also was fond of tending to his lawn and recycling.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Matthew Menszak, of Perkasie, and Danielle Menszak, of Dublin, PA; and a brother, David Bruce Menszak and his wife Patricia, of Sellersville, PA.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie (Kellers Church), where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Kellers Church Cemetery, Kellers Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Comprehensive ALS Center, c/o Mary Kelley, 330 South Ninth Street, Philadelphia, PA  19107.
