Damon Reid McDermott, of Hilltown Township and formerly of Quakertown, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Born in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of Amy Renee Applegate, of Quakertown, PA, and Paul Leo McDermott and his girlfriend, Janet Ahern, of Hilltown, PA.

He was a 2019 graduate of Quakertown Community High School and attained his Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Bucks County Community College in 2024.

He was a member of Christ Church of the United Church of Christ, Trumbauersville, PA.

Damon will be remembered by his family as an avid gamer, animal lover and fan of the Swedish rock band "Sabaton". Damon was the family tech for everyone's phones, computers and televisions. He was dedicated to supporting charitable opportunities.

Even though Damon was here for such a short time, he made our world a much brighter place.    He had a passion for helping people, especially his family and friends which was reflective of his close relationship with God.  He was an intelligent, loving, caring and hard-working young man.  We will miss his quick-witted sense of humor, along with his heartfelt and amazing hugs.  Damon and his brother, Riley, were inseparable, best friends.

Surviving with his parents are a brother, Riley Paul McDermott and his partner Wojtek Marianski, of Pittsburgh, PA; his maternal grandparents, Kathy Kissel and her husband James, of Quakertown, PA, and Kenneth Applegate, of Perkasie, PA; his paternal grandmother, Chere McDermott, of Hilltown Twp., PA; his girlfriend, Mary Crino; his best friend, Colin Patterson; his many aunts and uncles, Lisa and John Salemno, Aaron and Tamara Applegate, Jamie, Cher and Darren Alderfer, Dave and Kristine McDermott, and Terry Frey; and cousins, Nate, Sammi, Ross, Mollie, Madelyn, Kyan and Peyton; many great-aunts and great-uncles; and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leo McDermott and Nancy Ellis as well as his beloved dog, Roxie.

His Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
