Obituary

            Cynthia T. Keating, age 70, of Wooster, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, surrounded by her loving family.

            She was born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 1955, to Edward B. and Phyllis J. (Charles) Tice.

            Cindy grew up in Perkasie PA, and moved to Wooster OH after completing college where she resided for nearly 50 years. She attended Pennridge High School in Bucks County PA and graduated in 1973. She went on to attend Bluffton College in Bluffton OH and graduated in 1977 with a degree in Education. She achieved her Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in 2003. Cindy taught at Holmesville Elementary in Holmes County OH, and taught for 35 years, 1977-2013.

            Cindy enjoyed being outside and taking walks and hikes. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening. She loved reading books while sitting in the sun. She had a great eye for picking out antique pieces and loved going to new antique stores. Another past time was putting some of her antique finds on Ebay. She adored traveling and visiting family, especially her parents in Pennsylvania. Cindy loved spending time with her friends, especially going out to eat after retirement. She loved listening to music and following her favorite artists, including BTS, Jack White, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

            In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughters, Megan Keating (Josh Krajcik) of Columbus, Ohio, and Molly Keating (Joseph Licon) of Wooster, Ohio; brothers, Greg Tice (Sirikanya Kangpol) of Cupertino, California, and Jim (Gina) Tice of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; nephews, Shane and Colin Tice; and nieces, Chloe Tice of Willow Grove, Ginny Tice, and Lindsay Tice of Sunnyvale, California. Also niece Brianne Bailey (Jeff) of Wooster Ohio, and nephew Brett Marthey (Jenna) of North Carolina.

            The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy Marthey, Cindy’s sister in law, for her generosity and support throughout this difficult time.

            A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 6th, at Deep Run Mennonite Church West, 1008 Deep Run Road, Perkasie PA.

            Calling hours will be (one hour prior to services at the church) from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday.

            A Celebration of Life will take then take place on Saturday June 13th, 11:00 am - 2:00 p.m. at The Connection Conference and Event Center, 1034 Country Club Dr., Wooster, Ohio.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation at www.komen.org.

            Local arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
