Cleora Marguerite "Blondie" Beck, formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Lutheran Community at Telford, Telford, PA. She was 94.
She was the loving wife of 72 years of the late Stanley Glenn Beck until his passing on July 6, 2023.
Born in Center Valley, PA, she was the daughter of the late C. Earl and Ruth S. (Geisinger) Stauffer. She was a 1947 graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown, PA.
Blondie was employed as a bank teller for the former First Federal Savings & Loan (later known as First Savings Bank of Perkasie), at its Market Street, Perkasie, PA, location during the 1970's and 1980's. Then, she worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block, Quakertown, PA, for many years until retiring.
She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church, Perkasie.
In her earlier years, Blondie was a member of the Pennridge Jayceettes and volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader. A member of the Perkasie Historical Society, she served on the Bucks County Board of Elections. In her free time, she enjoyed needlecraft, skiing, tennis, boating and camping.
She is survived by a son, Glenn E. Beck and his wife Wendy, of Bellevue, WA; a daughter-in-law, Marianne Beck, of Lee's Summit, MO; six grandchildren, Kyle Beck and his wife Theresa, Shelley MacLaughlin, Melody MacLaughlin, David Beck and his wife Suzanne, Emily Beck and her husband David Ireugas, and Steven Beck and his wife Jessica; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Beck; a daughter, Sharyn L. MacLaughlin; a grandson, Eric Steven Beck; and two granddaughters, Valerie Joy MacLaughlin, and Carly Paige MacLaughlin.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Lutheran Community at Telford Chapel, 12 Lutheran Home Drive, Telford, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to can make a donation to their favorite charity in Blondie's memory.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
