Obituary

Christopher R. Pettit, Sr., of East Rockhill, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 30, 2023 in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA.  He was 55.

He was the loving husband of Kathleen A. (Lyons) Pettit.  The couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on October 14, 2022.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of Ralph Eugene Pettit, of Telford, PA and the late Ann (Simmons) Pettit.  He was a 1985 graduate of Souderton Area High School.

In his early years, Chris sold Real Estate for the former Proctor Real Estate Co., Souderton.  He then attained his EMT Certification and worked for the Harleysville and Central Bucks Ambulance Corps.   From 1989 to 1998, he worked as a 911dispatcher for Bucks County Emergency Communications, Dispatcher #528.  He also owned and operated All Seasons Ground Care.

He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

Chris loved working and being outside.  In 2000, he and his wife Kathy, bought All Seasons Stables, Perkasie, PA, operating it until 2017.  In addition to stabling horses, Chris bred and sold German Shepherd puppies.

He was a dedicated member of the Perkasie Fire Company, serving with the Fire Police for 15 years, currently serving as the Fire Police Captain.   Chris was a proud conservative American, loving his country and displaying American flags whenever he could.  He also enjoyed watching Fox News.

Spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren was what Chris loved best.  Known as "Little Pop Pop" he loved spending time down at the family shore home in Villas, NJ, and fishing on his boat.  He also enjoyed going on trips with his wife Kathy.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two children, Christopher R. Pettit, Jr., and his wife Erin, of Perkasie and Katrina Ann Pettit and her significant other, Jarrett Pursell, of East Rockhill, PA; two grandchildren, Dakota and Rylee Pettit; a sister, Janet Kershner and her husband Thomas, of Ambler, PA; two nieces Alexis Supplee and Emma Kershner; a nephew, Cole Supplee and his german shepherd and best friend, Axel.

His Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA.  Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.   Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA or Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
