Obituary

Charles Richard "Rich" Hollenbach, formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Franconia Twp.  He was 87.

He was the loving husband of 62 years of the late Nancy Ann (Weirback) Hollenbach until her passing on March 1, 2019.

Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Edwin and Dorothy H. (Smith) Hollenbach.  A 1953 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie, he served as a Military Policeman with the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1959.

Mr. Hollenbach was employed as a draftsman by AMETEK, Inc., U. S. Gauge Division, Sellersville, PA, for 43 years until retiring in 2002.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie.

A member of the Perkasie Lions Club, Mr. Hollenbach volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader during the 1960's.  A hot air balloon enthusiast, he was a member of a hot air balloon chase team for a number of years.  He was particularly fond of flying and took many flights with his friend, Harold Hunsberger, transporting medical supplies throughout the area.  He loved camping with his family and will be remembered for hosting the annual family crab feast at their home.

He is survived by two granddaughters, Nicole Stemler, of Perkasie, PA, Kristie Coombs and her husband Jeremy, of Pennsburg, PA; six grandchildren, Amber, Jacob, Nathan, Elijah, Christian and Aliya; two sisters, Dolores M. Bonisch and her husband Frank H., of Milford, CT, and Sylvia K. Yoder and her husband Richard D., of Green Lane, PA; and family friend, Richard D. Beam and his wife Tami, of Perkasie.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, E. Keith Hollenbach, on January 5, 2013.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19 South Fifth Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International Bucks North Camp, P. O. Box 1162, Doylestown, PA  18901, or to TLC Child Care Center, 19 S. Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA  18944.
