Carolyn R. Finnemeyer, 77, of Souderton, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill Twp., PA. She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late L. Dale Finnemeyer who died in 2003.
Born in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Dennis.
She was employed in food preparation for the former Longacre's Poultry in Franconia, PA, for 17 years, prior to her retirement in 1997. In her earlier years, she worked for 15 years as a seamstress for the SunLite Shop in Souderton.
Mrs. Finnemeyer was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Telford. She was a caring person and provided care of a number of friends over the years. She loved animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed embroidery and cross-stitching, making many gifts for family and friends.
She is survived by her very closest companion and dear friend, Homer Schwenk of Souderton, three sons: Bryan J. Finnemeyer and his wife Darlene of Schwenksville, Randy Scott Finnemeyer and his fiancé Monica of Pottstown, Kevin Dale Finnemeyer and his wife Karen of Schwenksville, four grandchildren: Adam (Mary), Tina, Danielle, Jackie, three great grandchildren, two brothers: Henry Dennis and his wife Audrey of Easton, Allen Dennis and his wife Pauline of Mountaintop, and a sister, Catherine Werner and her husband Walter of Easton. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: David, Raymond, and Donald Dennis.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11 AM in Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 S. Main Street, Telford, PA 18969. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery of Telford. Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
