Carl G. Beck, of West Rockhill Twp., PA, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at his home. He was 89.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Hartzell) Beck. The couple would have celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary on June 7, 2026.
Born in Lakewood, NJ, he was the son of the late Weston D. and Barbara Ella (Keyser) Beck.
Mr. Beck was a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1956 until being honorably discharged in 1959. During his enlistment, he was stationed mostly at Andrew’s Air Force Base in Maryland but traveled throughout the world installing communication towers.
He owned and operated Carl’s Sales at Zern’s Market, Gilbertsville, PA, from 1984 until retiring in 2000. Previously, he operated Carl G. Beck Insulation, West Rockhill Twp., for a number of years. Before that, he worked for the former Bergey & Gehman Co., Perkasie, staying with the company when it was sold to Agway and relocated to Quakertown, PA. Earlier, he owned Beck’s Fuel Oil Service, Perkasie, following his employment with the former U. S. Gauge, Sellersville, PA.
Mr. Beck was a member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, PA.
A member of the American Legion Post No. 242, Quakertown, PA, he was a bowling and NASCAR enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling especially trips to Hawaii and Bermuda as well as cruising to the Caribbean and Alaska and, in his younger, years, he loved camping with his family. He also was fond of watching Western movies.
Surviving with his wife are five children, Michael Beck and his companion Nancy of Quakertown, PA, Kathleen Zayas and her husband Scott, of Maiden, NC, Gary Beck and his wife Janice, of Quakertown, Debra Beck Freeman and her husband Darb, of West Rockhill Twp., PA, and Julie Ann Jozefowski and her husband Jamie, of Telford, PA; seven grandchildren, Christopher Beck and his wife Amanda, Bryana Beck and her husband Jae Curley, Kimberly Conti and her husband Charles, Gary Jamison Beck and his wife Cassandra, Kayla Landes and her husband Nate, Jordan Beck and his fiancée Paige, and Alyssa Krady and her fiancée Chris; 13 great-grandchildren, Liam, Lily, Braden, Damien, Aria, Rylie, Tyler, Sabastian, Jaxon, Ava, Zayne, Skylynne and Hayley; two brothers, Clyde Beck, of Telford, and Gene Beck, of West Rockhill Twp.; and two sisters, Gertrude Hager, of Harleysville, PA, and Marie Hughes of Chalfont, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Mae Strouse; and five brothers, George W. Beck, Weston Beck Jr., Harold Beck, Alfred Beck and James Beck.
His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow that afternoon at 2:30 PM in Friedens Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, PA.
