Bonnie Janet Harkins, of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 10, 2026.  She was 72.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth Doran.

Known as a "homebody", she savored peace and quiet time surrounded by lit candles and a nice cup of tea. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and telling loved ones to always keep laughing even in hard times.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening, astronomy, thrifting and antiquing. She always found something special to buy for herself or someone else. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren with her life revolving around them.

She is survived by two children, Jennifer E. Sobon (Michael), and Joseph C. Harkins II, (Allison); nine grandchildren, Heather, Michael and Sean Sobon, and Nina, Amy, Colin, Alex, Anderson, and Logan Harkins; a brother, James Doran; a sister, Nanette Moffitt; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph C. "Joey" Harkins III; two brothers, Buddy and Richard Doran; a sister, Dorothy Hovatter; and a sister-in-law, Helen Doran.

Her Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the spring.
