Bonnie B. Church, 82, of Hatfield, PA passed away on December 18, 2024.

Bonnie was born in Charleston, West Virginia to James Butner and Georgia Butner (nee Riddle) in 1942.

Bonnie was a long-time resident of York, PA along with her beloved husband of 60 years, Maynard, who passed away in 2022.

She was a devoted member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in York for many years, where she and Maynard passionately supported the church and its many outreach, charity and missions efforts, including a mission trip to Alaska.

Bonnie was a graduate of Alfred University and earned her master's degree in Education at Millersville University.

She taught 3rd Grade at Dover Elementary school for nearly three decades and after retiring was an active volunteer at Village Library in Jacobus, PA.

After the passing of her husband, Bonnie moved to The Willows of Living Branches in Hatfield, PA where she could always be found at church services and Bible study, as well as often playing bingo or making crafts. She quickly made new friends and the caring staff made her feel at home. Bonnie loved to keep her mind active by playing games and puzzles and treasured time with her family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her son John M. Church of Concord, NC and wife Jennifer, and by her daughter Heidi L. Underwood of Perkasie, PA and husband Todd. She is also survived by her brother Jim Butner and wife Phyllis of Sun City, Florida.  Bonnie is additionally survived by her three grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Alexandra Church, Chandler Church, and Samuel Underwood. Bonnie's warm spirit, infectious laugh and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St, Souderton, PA on Saturday, January 4, 2025 with visitation at 10am followed by a memorial service at 11am.
