Obituary

            Ben J. Nargi, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge, Sellersville, PA. He was 96.

            He was the loving husband of the late Teresa A. “Terry” (Caron) Nargi until her passing in June 2019.

            Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Benigno and Emilia (Navellino) Nargi.

            He was a proud U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, having served in Germany during his enlistment from May 1951 until being honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in April 1953.

            Mr. Nargi worked as an insurance salesman for the MetLife Insurance Company for over 40 years until retiring.

            He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA. He was a former member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Staten Island, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister at church and the hospital, taught high school CCD classes, served as an elementary school track coach and volunteered with the soup kitchen for the homeless. A man of strong faith, he authored two religious books.

            A sports enthusiast, Mr. Nargi enjoyed watching football and baseball. He was an avid walker and even, at the age of 90, walked three miles at a time.

            Most of all, he loved spending time with his family at their gatherings especially their pool and barbeque parties.

            He is survived by two daughters, Regina A. Loreti and her husband Daniel, of Doylestown, PA, and Emily R. Dean and her husband Thomas, of Perkasie, PA; three grandchildren, Brandon and his wife Samantha, Steven and Brian; a great-granddaughter, Amelia “Mia”; and a son-in-law, Paul Bagha, of Coopersburg, PA.

            He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Marie Bagha and five brothers, Sal, Tony, John, Al and Mario Nargi..

            Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA.

            Interment will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrot Avenue, Staten Island, NY.
