December 17, 1935 – July 14, 2024
Bella E. Wanamaker, of Sellersville, PA, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.
She was the loving wife of Franklin Paul Wanamaker, who passed away on March 30, 2007. The couple was married for 49 loving years.
Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Rex) Fritzinger. She graduated from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, Allentown, PA, in 1955, and was a 1953 graduate of Slatington High School, Slatington, PA
Ms. Wanamaker worked as a Registered Nurse for over 45 years. She was employed by Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA, and then later worked in various schools in the Pennridge School District, where she loved caring for her patients especially her students.
She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church of Perkasie.
Bella was a member and Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Lenape Chapter No. 339, Quakertown, PA, where she served as Worthy Matron from 1986-1987. She also served as District Deputy Grand Matron for the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star. An avid gardener, Bella loved to go to the family cabin in Dushore, PA, where she would admire the rolling stone walls. She would watch the blue birds and frequently tended to the blue bird houses with her husband and children. She also enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and would teach them as well.
She is survived by her four children, Eileen L. Reagan and her husband Ronald Gregg of Glendale, AZ, Eric F. Wanamaker of Sellersville, PA, Karl R. Wanamaker and his wife Jo Ann of Souderton, PA, Stefanie A. Wanamaker of Sellersville, PA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother Ronald Fritzinger of Slatington, PA. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Fritzinger and a sister Melba Bisko.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at The Sadler-Suess Funeral Home and Crematory, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA. A Star Service held at 6:00PM during the calling period. Following the Star Service a brief Funeral Service will be held at 6:15PM. After the Service the calling period will resume.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritian's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC, 28607.
