Barry Lee Styer, of Sellersville, PA, passed away Thursday, September, 2024, at his home. He was 74.
He was the loving husband of Cindy Lee (Cressman) Styer. The couple had celebrated their 16th Wedding Anniversary on June 6, 2024.
Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Abraham S. and Anna Marie (Detweiler) Styer.
Barry owned and operated Styer's Auto Service, Sellersville, PA, for 37 years until retiring in 2008. He continued working on cars from his home until the day before his passing.
He was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, PA.
In addition to his love for auto mechanics, Barry especially enjoyed driving his 1967 Chevy Impala SS, his 1985 IROC Camaro or his 1966 Chevy Corvette as well as riding motorcycles. He loved talking with his friends about cars and stereos, and listening to music and watching movies in his Music/Theater Room. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren watching silly animal stunts on "You Tube" and feasting on Chips Ahoy cookies with milk.
Surviving with his wife are three stepchildren, Sandra Lambert and her husband Mark, of Catawba, NC, Timothy Mackey, of Sellersville, PA, and Adam Mackey and his companion Samantha, of Quakertown, PA; ten grandchildren, Mark Lambert, Jr., Andrew Lambert and his wife Danielle, Tyler Lambert and his wife Kaylan, Madison Harkey and her husband Brian, Noah Lambert, Naomi Horn and her husband Zech, Cyrus Mackey, Melanie Graham, Isabella Mackey and Samuel Mackey; five great-grandchildren, Khloe Lambert, Sylas Lambert, Oliver Harkey, Lee Horn and Ezra Hart; a brother, Jack Styer and his wife Sandy, of New Enterprise, PA; and two sisters, Darlene Boyle and her husband Stephen and their four children, of Bensalem, PA, and Donna Thomas and her husband Wayne, of Perkasie, PA; and many loving cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rubery, in 2017.
His Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA, where family and friends may call from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. The family encourages Barry's friends to bring their favorite vehicle to his service, weather permitting.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, P. O. Box 238, Blooming Glen, PA 18911.
