Obituary

Barbara Pisch 65, of Pottstown, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospice 17 th and Chew St. Allentown, PA. after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Wynnewood, PA., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jane (Russell) Arnold. A graduate of Central Bucks West High School. Barb attained Emergency Medical Technician certification in 1975 and was among the first to attain her Paramedic Certification in the first official Paramedic class in Montgomery County in 1978.

Barbara was employed as a Paramedic, serving Gilbertsville community for 7 plus years and also serving Pottstown, Lansdale, and other communities. She supported Montgomery County EMS by serving as a Paramedic preceptor, training many students as they came out of class ready for the streets. Barbara was also known for her Malamute show dogs and spent many weekends at various agility trials, tracking competitions and weight pulls with her buddy Blake and past dogs. They competed in the Eukanuba Invitational agility trials held in Florida three years in a row, they also competed in the AKC Master Agility Class held at the Westminster Kennel Club in NY. with her boy Trace, Barb loved camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Along with attending and competing in dog shows she also enjoyed horses and attended many local shows and did compete in the Devon Horse show. Barb was also a very avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Barb was a life Member of the Volunteer Medical Service Corps, Lansdale PA.

She is survived by a daughter: Jennifer Pisch of Pottstown PA, Brother Doug Arnold, and his wife Amy of Chalfont PA. She is also survived by 2 nieces and nephews. Barb is also survived by her ex-husband Robert Pisch of Perkasie.

Friends will gather to celebrate Barb's life on September 30, 2023 from 1:00PM until 5:00Pm at Hickory Park Pavillion #3, 2140 Big Road, Gilbertsville,PA. 19525. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Take the Lead www.takethelead.org/donation and Volunteer Medical Service Corps Lansdale 175 Medical Campus Drive, Lansdale, PA. 19446.
