"Babs" Hefner

Barbara L. "Babs" Hefner, of Doylestown and formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at her home. She had celebrated her 77 th birthday on April 2, 2022.
Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rita (Marsocci) Brzoza. She was a graduate of West Warwick High School, West Warwick, RI.
Barbara held many jobs over the years including employment with the Pennridge School District working in the Attendance Office at the Pennridge Lower High School, Perkasie, PA. She ended her career working for her son in his business, Hefner Machine & Tool Co., Hatfield, PA.
She was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA.
Barbara particularly enjoyed crocheting and, while residing in Rhode Island, she sang in the Church Choir. She loved to spend time at the beach taking walks and eating salt water taffy. She also never missed an opportunity to go shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Wayne Hefner and his fiancée June Mensinger, of East Greenville, PA, Michael Hefner and his wife Teri, of Telford, PA, Michelle Lydon and her husband Mark, of Chester Springs, PA, and Melissa Hefner and her husband Glenn Kapuscienski, of Doylestown, PA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Brzoza and his wife Diane, of Coventry, RI; and a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Farrell and her husband Robert, of Westwood, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brzoza.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Quakertown Campus Infusion Center, c/o St. Luke's Development Office, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
A funeral luncheon for family and friends will immediately follow the mass.
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
