Audrey L. Schlegel, 69, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Harborview Rehab and Care Center in Doylestown, PA.

            Born in Sellersville, PA, was a beloved daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Gehman) Schlegel, Jr. She was a graduate of SAHS class of 1974.

            Audrey had a true zest for life. She enjoyed traveling to places such as Mexico, two times to Hawaii, and multiples times to Colorado. These trips were all done in her earlier years. She enjoyed listening to religious music often requesting to listen to Sandi Patty. She often went to church at Harborview and became very close to the chaplain there. As described by her sister, she was a social butterfly, a singer and would just sing anywhere she could and would do it spontaneously. She even dreamt of singing with John Denver. Audrey was also a fighter; she was tough and resilient and never gave up. She also enjoyed being in the water swimming. She was often called “Ann Angel.” For those who know her, know what that means.

            Growing up she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford.

            She is survived by her siblings Dawn S. Lerch of Tampa, FL., Eric Schlegel of Auburn, PA, Christine Schlegel of Orwigsburg, PA and Brenda Schlegel of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving is a very good friend who helped in trying to get Audrey feeling better and to move around when able to. His name is Andrew Roseweir. Andrew and Dawn did their best to get her to family functions due to her limited mobility.

            At the family’s request, there will be no services.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Audrey’s memory, can be made to Harborview Rehab and Care Center, 432 Maple Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901.
