Stroh
February 15, 1940 – July 16, 2024
Alice Louise Stroh, of Perkasie, PA and formerly of Hilltown Twp. and Flourtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 84.
She was the loving wife of the late Marlyn C. Stroh sharing 59 years of marriage prior to his passing on December 1, 2016.
Born in Allentown, PA on February 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Bruce L. and Clarissa A. (Krommes) Muth. She attended Catherine of Siena School and graduated from Parkland High School, Allentown in 1957.
A homemaker most of her life, she was employed by the Rodale Press, Emmaus, PA and the Weisenberg Elementary School, Kutztown, PA.
She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville, PA.
An exemplary, selfless and nurturing matriarch, Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, leading by example with the values of faith, integrity, hard work, kindness, love and respect for all. Alice and her husband's parenting qualities of firmness and gentleness engendered acceptance of all and contributed to the growth of many others.
Alice spent a lifetime of actively supporting the activities of her children in the 4-H Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, music lessons as well as raising and showing Champion sheep for Erdenheim Farms, Lafayette Hill, PA.
She will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Yvonne M. McGee and her husband Dr. Michael McGee, of New Holland, PA, Debra Peter and her husband Stephen, of Perkasie, PA and Cindy Stroh, of Doylestown, PA; a son, Marlyn Stroh and his fiancée Jennifer Collins, of Pipersville, PA; seven grandchildren, Matthew McGee, Kelsey LeFever and her husband Derek, Andrew McGee and his wife Emily, Patrick McGee and his wife Krista, Heidi Stroh and her husband Eric Engelhardt, Halee Layman and her husband Dillon and Hunter Stroh and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Moyer and a brother, Harvey Muth.
Her funeral mass and Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville, PA 18942.
A model of devotion to her faith, family and friends, Alice will be truly remembered and missed.
