Weikel
February 3, 1954 – April 11, 2026
A. Bruce Weikel, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at his home. He was 72.
He was the loving husband of Gretchen L. (Guenther) Weikel. The couple would have celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary on April 12, 2026.
Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late H. Calvin and Doris L. (Lamont) Weikel. A 1972 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA, in 1976, and, later, his Master’s Degree in Education from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.
Bruce operated the family farm in Hilltown Township raising beef cattle, pigs, chickens, sheep and crops for many years. Additionally, he was employed as a Special Education Teacher by the Pennridge School District, Perkasie, PA, for 35 years until retiring. He began his teaching career with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in the Hatboro-Horsham and Wissahickon School Districts.
He was an active member of the Bucks County Farm Bureau, having served on the Board of Directors and two terms as President over the years. He especially enjoyed operating his Oliver tractors and tending to his gardens.
Notably, Bruce was the caretaker of Pennridge High School’s “Otto the Ram”, who he took to innumerable sporting events over the course of many years. He loved watching movies; but his greatest joy was in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and friends.
Surviving with his wife are three children, Rebecca S. Wagner and her husband Brian, of Cochranville, PA, David B. Weikel and his wife Amy, of Baldwin, WI, and Kathryn L. McKinley and her husband Christopher, of Perkasie, PA; eight grandchildren, Cameron and Emmeline Wagner, Bryn, Elsie, Greta, Delaney and Oliver Weikel, and Wesley McKinley.; two sisters, Kathleen Moyer and her husband Stephen, of Harleysville, PA, and Judith Kehr and her husband Jeffrey, of Souderton, PA; a nephew, James Kehr and his wife Colleen, Sellersville, PA; and a great-nephew, Charlie Kehr, of Sellersville, PA.
His Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Calvary Church, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA, where the family will greet friends at a funeral luncheon following the service.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
