Ruth Elaine "Ruthie" Newman, of North Wales and formerly of Hatfield, PA, was called to heaven on Saturday, August 29, 2020, and has been reunited in love with her parents, brother and other loved ones who went on before.  She was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Bird) Dillman.  She was a 1956 graduate of the Murrell Dobbins Career and Technical Education High School, Philadelphia.

Ruthie was an Administrative Assistant for McCallion Staffing Services, Montgomeryville, PA, from 1980 until retiring in 2000.

She attended St. Jude Church and Shrine, Chalfont, PA, and she was a member of the Elks Club, Hatfield, PA.

"Mom" was a beautiful woman both inside and out.  She had an infectious laugh and could make anyone smile.  She took opportunities in life to travel near and far, taking cruises, but most recently loved sitting by the community pool, soaking in the sun and the conversations around her.  She could make you cry and laugh out loud in the same sentence!  The joys in her life included the love and laughter she shared with her family, and she spoke often of the pride she had in each one of them.  Ruth was not just a mom but also a friend.  The world got a little quieter in the days since her passing, but Heaven got more entertaining.  She will be missed here on Earth, but Heaven got another angel.  So, Mom, spread those wings, soar, watch over us, guide us, protect us, and one day we will all be together again laughing and telling great stories.  Look down and smile because as we look up, we are hugging you with all our might.

She is survived by her loving family:  two sons, Timothy K. Newman and his wife Debbie Tomlin, of Perkasie, PA, and Terrence K. Newman and his wife Rebecca, of Palmyra, PA; two beautiful grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley Newman; a sister, Georgeanna Ruth, of Philadelphia, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews in the surrounding Philadelphia area.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Dillman.

Graveside Services with interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of a service or visitation, please just remember Ruth as the beautiful person she was, and if she touched your heart in any way, smile and laugh as she would.

Mom, we love you and are grateful for all the years we spent together.  Priceless.
