Obituary

Dianne Carrie Auckland, of Hatfield Township, PA, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at her home.  She was 72.

She was the wife of Gerald P. Auckland.  The couple had celebrated their 50 th Wedding Anniversary on December 19, 2020.

Born in Cortland, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Merrill) Dodd.  A graduate of West Rutland High School, West Rutland, VT, she attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA, and her Master's Degree from Philadelphia College of the Bible, Langhorne, PA.

Dianne served as Principal at the Red Hill Christian School, Red Hill, PA, for seven years until retiring in 2010.  Previously, she was a teacher at the Plumstead Christian School, Plumsteadville, PA, for 20 years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perkasie, Perkasie, PA, and a former member of Hilltown Baptist Church, Hilltown, PA, where she mentored teenaged girls, taught Sunday School and served as a Pioneer Girls Leader.

An avid reader, Dianne also enjoyed sewing, gardening and birdwatching.  Her greatest joy was in spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband are two children, Jeremy Auckland and his wife Adrianna (Blash), of Quakertown, PA, and Susan Kull and her husband Bradley, of West Point, PA, and four grandchildren, Greta, Elizabeth, Avery and Evelyn Kull.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Dodd.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Perkasie – Victory Hall, 1600 North Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA.  Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing will be required at all services.

Friends may call Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, or Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Church.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in East Swamp Church Cemetery, Quakertown, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Plumstead Christian School, Box 216, Plumsteadville, PA  18949.
